چکیده
The impact of union membership on employees intent to leave their jobs was examined to test the effect of unions voice face. Hierarchical regression analyses showed a significant, negative relationship (p < .001) between union membership and employees intent to leave. In addition, the data show a significant interaction between union membership and employees company satisfaction. Dissatisfied non-union members indicate a much higher intention to leave their jobs than do satisfied non-union members, while the difference between the intention to leave for dissatisfied and satisfied union members is much smaller. Both of these results support the conclusion that union membership reduces employees intention to leave their jobs, and this provides strong evidence that the voice face of unions matters.
